Join us as we celebrate the National Crime Reading Month in the company of two of our most celebrated crime fiction novelists Elly Griffiths and Lesley Thomson. Elly Griffiths will be talking about her latest mystery, ‘Last Remains” and the short story collection ‘Marple’. Crime author Lesley Thomson will be talking about her latest thriller ‘The Companion’, a country house mystery with a distinctive 21st Century twist.

National Crime Reading Month celebrates crime reading – find out how each novel came about and maybe pick up some tips for your own crime fiction novel.

Elly Griffiths is the best selling author of over 20 detective novels including the highly popular Ruth Galloway series and Brighton Mysteries featuring the enigmatic Max Mephisto. Lesley Thomson is the best selling author of the Detective’s Daughter series of of crime novels. The latest of which ‘The Distant Dead’ was published in 2021.

Both writers will be reading extracts from their new novels and copies of the books will be available for purchase. Cash only please.

Tea and light refreshments will be served by the Friends of Hersham Library.

Tickets are limited to 30 and are £7.50 each.

This is a Friends of Hersham Library event in association with Surrey County Libraries

Hersham Library will open specially for the event only – Doors will open at1.30pm.

Some car parking is available at Hersham Library and adjacent streets. Hersham Library is about ten minutes walk away from Hersham Railway Station.
