PK Porthcurno Museum of Global Communications at Porthcurno in Cornwall won Gold for ‘Small visitor attraction of the year,’ in the Cornwall tourism awards last year and we’re delighted to welcome author F.H. Petford on the 30th of June.
Visitors are invited to meet Fred and chat to him about his historical crime thriller series featuring Miss Alma Timperley, a young woman with a remarkable secret! Set during World War One in Cornwall, the books describe PK Porthcurno as it was at the time – a vital and fully operational telegraph station at the hub of the Britain’s international cable network and crucial to the allied war effort.
Fred will be signing his books, A Ghost Hunter’s Guide to Solving a Murder and A Ghost Hunter’s Guide to Catching a Killer, and talking about how and why he chose PK Porthcurno as a central location for the series.
