Blood in t’Dales is the chance for readers to meet a group of writers who either themselves live or have their books set in North Yorkshire. The strap line if “Crime fiction, North Yorkshire style” and celebrates the wealth of crime writing talent the area inspires. This year (2026) the panel is David Gatward, Barry N Rainsford, Catherine Yaffe, Susan Parry and Fiona Veitch Smith who will be chatting about crime writing with a special emphasis on the wider region and how it has inspired their work.
