Dr Russell Wate QPM is a retired senior homicide detective who was senior investigating officer in over 100 major crime enquiries, from homicides to international kidnappings and large-scale paedophile investigations, including the shocking 2002 Soham Murders, which saw two ten-year-old girls murdered by school caretaker Ian Huntley. Awarded the Queen’s Police Medal in 2008, Russell is also well known for his current work relating to safeguarding children. Getting Away With Murder is the pulse‑pounding finale to his acclaimed DCI McFarlane series.
Tony Flower is an Aylesbury-based author of novels exploring themes of family, secrets and the complexities of human relationships. He worked in the print industry and journalism, has spent a decade supporting people with learning difficulties and autism, is Secretary of Chiltern Writers, and hosts a monthly writers forum at Aylesbury Library. His books include: The Girl Downstairs, The Resurrection of Skinny Ted and the Brothel Creepers, The Black Swan Detective Agency, and his latest novel Your Past Will Follow.
David Liston, is a London born, Chalfont St Giles based former fund manager and equity research analyst whose fast-paced debut novel Loose Ends featured financial intrigue, murder and international drug cartels, was well-received by Amazon readers. His follow-up novel, Murders Across the Pond, promises more adventures in the world of high finance, and he is currently working on his 3rd book, Miriam’s Revenge.
Denise Beddows, award-winning author of twenty books on local history (writing as DJ Kelly), true crime, espionage fiction and her recent cosy crime series Misbourne Murder Mysteries, is your moderator as usual.
