Authors Sam Blake, Roz Watkins and Jo Jakeman will be discussing writing crime and reading from their latest books.

Jo Jakeman, Sam Blake, and Roz Watkins  all have strong links with Cornwall, and have been  inspired by the Cornish landscape and people, finding mystery in the dark coves and narrow lanes of this beautiful county. They are thrilled to be visiting Tregolls bookclub to discuss their new books, how much research it takes to write twisty gripping crime, and to read excerpts.

Jo moved to Cornwall in 2020, and lives in Falmouth. Her second novel, Safe House, is set in a remote Cornish village, Roz moved to Falmouth in 2022, and is setting her next novel in Cornwall. Sam spends every summer in Helford Passage where she loves to write. Her latest bestseller The Mystery of Four is inspired by the character she meets and is a golden age Agatha Christie style country house mystery. Set in stunning gardens, not unlike Trebah and Glendurgan, Kilfenora House in The Mystery of Four, has its own story.

Writing across both series books and standalones, these three authors will discuss characters and plot and what they uniquely bring to the page.

All three writers are critically acclaimed and between them have won or been short-listed for numerous awards.
