Five exciting national and international crime writers will visit Wirral libraries this June to celebrate National Crime Reading Month.
T.M. Logan at West Kirby Library on Tuesday 2 June at 2.30pm
T. M Logan novels have sold more than two million copies in the UK and have been translated into 22 languages. Five of his books have been Sunday Times bestsellers, while two – The Holiday and The Catch – have been adapted for television. He will discuss his latest novel, The Weekend, and the inspirations behind his writing.
Gina Kirkham, David Jackson and Luca Veste at Bebington Central Library on Tuesday 9 June at 7.30pm
Gina Kirkham, a retired Wirral police officer turned writer, will appear alongside Liverpool-born crime author and Wirral resident David Jackson, and Luca Veste, whose latest book, Liar Liar, is the first instalment in The Liverpool Crime Series. And this year…there’s been a murder! Join our intrepid trio as they race to solve the crime, can they crack the case!?!
Dr Kathryn Harkup at Wallasey Central Library on Tuesday 30 June at 2.30 pm
Dr Harkup has a fascination for all things gothic, gory and geeky and has written on the links between science, literature and popular culture. Dr Harkup uncovers the deadly secrets behind Agatha Christie’s cunning use of poisons.
